It all began with the book In Sinu Jesu. Every time I would read a passage from this journal of a Benedictine monk I would be cut to the heart and filled with desire to respond to the Lords call to adore Him, to console Him, and to grow in intimacy with Him. Often I would think how wonderful it would be to have the spirituality of St. John the Beloved Disciple, yet often thinking that it would not be given, and that it was not my calling. Now I believe that the Lord desires to give this spirituality to all of His priests, but we need to respond to His call and come before His Eucharistic Face.

In my 14 years of priesthood, I have recognized the difficulties, the joys, the crosses, and the attacks that Priests face. I have seen many of those who were in seminary with me leave the priesthood. After beginning to read and meditate with In Sinu Jesu on adoration and the priesthood, a group of Priest friends and I started to get together for a spiritual fraternity as described in this book. I know that the spiritual fraternity that I have enjoyed for the past seven or eight years has been necessary for me and has been an absolute blessing. We are not meant to walk this path alone. In fact since we all stand-in the person of Christ, we are really all one man. We need to live more as one. We need each other‘s prayerful support, example, and camaraderie.

While in adoration not too long ago, I was praying about all of this and the Lord showed me that he desires to build priestly community through prayer. He wants priests adoring Him and He wants priests adoring Him on behalf of their brother priests. The Lord showed me that he wants 24 hour adoration by priests for priests through an online platform in order to make reparation for the sins of priests and to adore Him for those who do not.

I envisioned priests around the world signing up for an hour, offering time before the blessed sacrament exposed for brother their priests. I know that this concerted effort and the knowledge that there is a community of priests praying 24 hours a day 7 days a week for each other would have a beautiful encouraging effect. Not to mention the unseen graces giving us the strength to carry on and giving us graces of growth helping us to fulfill the mission that God has given us, and leading us to greater intimacy with our Lord, from which all of ministry needs to flow.
